Amer EL-Kerdi is the Co-Investigator of Program Line 1 (Health Professional Empowerment with Digital Tools) of Ludwig Boltzmann Institut for Digital Health and Patient Safety, located at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria.
His primary focus areas are to evaluate patient care paradigms and novel digital health solutions, in order to advance the translational research of predictive decision support systems during perioperative care.
Dr. EL-Kerdi has more than 18 years’ experience in clinical translation and global marketing of medical devices. He is the clinical marketing leader of the Monitoring & Analytics Business Group at Philips Healthcare. Prior, Dr. EL-Kerdi held various positions at Carestream Health, Alphatec Spine, Spawn Technologies, and the MEM Orthopaedic Research Center. He holds a MBA in Management of Technology (MedTech) jointly offered by the University of Texas at Austin, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and University of Lausanne, as well as a doctorate in Orthopaedics research from the medical faculty of the University of Bern.
